A
short stroll from the Inn takes you to a variety of locally owned
restaurants, shops and entertaining activities.
A
few blocks away is the 8th Avenue historic district and tempting restaurants
plus unique shops.
Try the
Brass Monkey - a
classy, yet casual dining experience with a varied menu of
seafood and other items. Just
across Gulf Way from the Brass Monkey sits
Mosaic
restaurant and the Seaside Grill
I which is next to the site of Saturday Market)
serving breakfast and lunch on the waterfront.
Another popular and well rated dining experience is on 8th
Avenue is the
Black Palm with
its innovative Latin cuisine.
And
a few more doors down from Black Palm at the inland end
of 8th Avenue you can find the legendary Sea Horse Restaurant,
open for breakfast and lunch. There's no cozier place for an
inside or outside meal and conversation - it's where the locals eat!
You will feel right at home. You can
either take a walk along the inland side of Pass-A-Grille
starting with the Merry Pier which is directly
across the street or turn toward the shops and stroll 8th Avenue
afterward - e.g.

is world renowned.
At
the
Merry Pier, where you can
sail, boat, fish, rent bikes, or walk
along the waterfront capturing the amazing pelicans and the
occasional dolphin. You might want to take the boating
excursions the
Miss PassAGrille
or the
Shell Key Shuttle and enjoy snorkeling, dolphin-watching and
shelling on this unspoiled little island.
A few blocks to the
north from the Inn you can choose from
the very casual The Wharf (bar & food hideaway)
and
Sea Critters
(more kid-friendly) for seafood, or across the street at Gennaro's
for Italian food on Pass-A-Grille.


If you're feeling
more energetic, a walk up the beach brings you to jet ski rentals
and more. It's your choice – spend lazy days on the beach and
evenings watching the sunset, or enjoy the many other
activities close by. There's no time of the year that
isn't absolutely great in Pass-A-Grille and we are here for you

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM year round held next to the Seaside Grill at
the beach end of 8th Ave.
While
some locations listed below require a car,
if you don't feel
like driving, hop the
Beach Trolley to explore the
more commercial spots of St Pete Beach to our north, or even
visit downtown St. Petersburg (trolley goes
north to John's Pass/Madeira Beach, turns eastward and passes
Tyrone Mall area, then into downtown St Petersburg). Catch a
Rays baseball game or the
Dali Museum. Either way, here at
Inn on the Beach and the Cottages
we will do our best
to make sure you are relaxed and carefree during your stay - and
able take in the kind of experiences you most desire.
